STUDENT AMERICAN VETERINARY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

The SAVMA Chapter at Glasgow is the first international chapter ever established. We provide many different educational opportunities for members throughout the course, many of which are hands on and can help you engage in things not taught in practicals and labs. We are open to International and American students alike, and strongly encourage every student entering Glasgow University to join our association.

VETERINARY BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

The Glasgow University Veterinary Business Association (VBA) is a student run club that provides additional veterinary business education to students at the University of Glasgow. Our goal is to help prepare future veterinarians to understand the importance of finance, business, personal development, and leadership. We host workshops and invite guest lecturers to present on various business-related topics during the school year. As a club we track our member’s attendance hours and present them with a certificate at the end of the course (or upon request) which notes how many total hours of additional lectures and/or workshops they have attended. Students can then add this to their CV/Resume as proof of additional business education.
