GLASGOW VET RODEO

The Rodeo raises much needed funds for charities and promotes public awareness of animal welfare. Some of the attractions at Rodeo include pony rides, a falconry display, farrier demos, dog shows, sleddog demos,
and more. Day of, students from every year group are generous enough to donate time to help us set-up equipment, take entrance fees, assist exhibition stalls, and many other jobs to ensure a successful event.
Throughout the year we'll keep everyone posted on Rodeo's progress and advise on volunteering as we get closer! We also put on fundraising events throughout the year, including our Rodeo hoodie sale in the autumn! If you want to get involved on committee or volunteering on the day, feel free to get in touch!

A note from your Rodeo President Tiana Griessel:
Hello class of 2028, welcome to vet school at the University of Glasgow! I am a second year vet student from Reston, Virginia in the US and in the year that I’ve been here so far, I have come to see Glasgow as my second home! Last year I served as Rodeo president elect and I loved being involved with the vet school community and all its wonderful people and activities. I was also able to participate in several clubs and volunteer activities on campus, and I recommend trying out a few yourselves; it’s a great way to get involved and make new friends! I’m interested in large animal medicine, but haven’t decided exactly which direction to go with that yet. The great part is the vet school definitely provides lots of opportunities to explore various interests and options! I look forward to meeting you guys and hope you all have a great year! If you see me in the GUVMA shop or anywhere around campus, feel free to stop me and ask questions or say hi! Best of luck!
