GLASGOW UNIVERSITY VETERINARY ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY (GUVZS)

GUVZS is a student run organisation that aims to inform veterinary students on all subjects in exotics, zoo medicine, wildlife, conservation, epidemiology of emerging diseases, wildlife rehabilitation, marine animal medicine, and everything in between. Anyone is welcome to join!
We host biweekly talks with wildlife vets working in various fields so that vet students can meet them and ask questions directly. We also organize in person workshops such as Birds of prey handling skills with Strathblane Falconry. We also share with our members any pertinent news articles, photos, information on EMS opportunities etc on our Facebook page.
Membership fee is £6 for access to all talks, discounted workshop prices, social events to network with like-minded people and more communication within the club on which subjects you would like us to organize more events on.
We are already organizing some amazing talks for the 2021-2022 school year. We hope you can join along with us, keep an eye out on our Facebook page for dates and times of talks and we guarantee you will learn a lot in the process with us 🙂
